I launched a magazine last year called "Motherwords" which is a way for mothers to connect with each other through the pages of a magazine. It is the only magazine written exclusively by and for mothers, and a way for us to all learn and love from one another as we take this journey of motherhood together. I believe the old adage that, "it takes a village" is true, and this magazine is the way to hear what the village is, and what it has to say. I hope you will submit your stories about motherhood to submissions@motherwords.com and read the magazine. I believe in the power of women, and the power of mothers coming together as a collective force. Every mother is us, we are every mother whether we are rich, poor, educated, or not, and no matter the color of our skin. Within each of us beats the heart of a mother, and no heart beats stronger. Every mother has a story, what's yours?
www.motherwords.com

Comment on Getting Your Side Hustle On...

Hello all, I've been painting on silk for more than 10 years. I've never been happier. It takes some juggling (like when the football coach schedules practice for my 7 yr old at 3:30 3 days a week!) but with a supportive spouse and lots of carpooling we make it work for everyone. It's all about balance.

Comment on Getting Your Side Hustle On...

Events and entertainment for pre-teen girls.

http://wwwHarlemHugs.com

Comment on R u keepin ^?

Erica, Thank God for those translations. I only knew three! This article is so true. I have to admit that I'm way behind with video games. I stopped at saving the princess, Ms. Pac-man and Millipede. But I have to get back in the game to keep up with this generation's technology.

Comment on Getting Your Side Hustle On...

What...you're talking to the Queen-of-Gettin' Her-Hustle-On! I've been out of the corp. world now for 8 years and I don't miss it one bit! I love being at home & seeing my daughter & son as they grow. They are in school now (praise God!)
My husband & I are a part of a team called the Executive Marketing Group (EMG) which spans all over the US. We help people make an additional stream of income from home. Our team has made over $6 million from home in the last 4 years! Praise God!!

Comment on Getting Your Side Hustle On...

I have been involved in real estate appraising for over 20 years. I am a licensed appraiser and I managed an appraisal department for 17 years.I grew that division from a regional business to a nationwide business( for someone else). One day while on a parade float; I was discussing my employment issues with my "now" business partner. A few days later he contacted me with a business proposal and many months later entered into a LLC with him and another partner. They are both slient partners and no nothing about my industry. It was a great leap of faith; I had been praying for God to place me where he wanted me to be.Of course fear tried to rear it's ugly head but I pushed foward; looking beyond the fear. My husband, family and friends were very supportive and that helped too. I had grown tired of my position and wanted more control of my life and destiny. It has been 15 months and I can, say it is one of the best moves I have ever made. It is hard work and I am wearing many hats but I love it! I am also a councilwoman (my side-gig) in my town and serve on the NJ Real Estate regulatory board and everything has fallen into place. I didn't want to look back on life with regret; that I had allowed fear to cripple my opportunity or the experience of owning my own business. Be Blessed!

Comment on Getting Your Side Hustle On...

Over and over, I heard positive feedback regarding my customer service skills.
